Are you talking april 28th 2005? and if so thats not even 3 weeks ago. I don't expect to reach end game in any MMoRPG before at least a year of play.

Please note that it's generally not considered an MMO. Reread the countless threads about the game and what it is and what people do at "endgame".

Yup. I've been playing about two weeks (with little sleep) and could be done in the next week or two. And I have done all the side quests! But I did leave Pre-sear as a LVL 3, way too early!

End Game = PvP

This is not a true MMORPG. The real point to this game is the PvP aspect of it. Yes the PvE part of the game is a core part, however it is not the major focus of the game. Honestly I have no done much PvP at this point, but I am looking forward to it once I have become bored with the PvE aspect.

The focus on PvP is why this game seems like much less of a grind than other true MMORPGs out there. The fast combat, little to no downtime, and low level cap are all designed to let people get to the PvP part of the game faster. It can also be said that the whole "everything as an instanced area" also was done to support this. It lets the devs create the combat system to be less forgiving on LAG and much faster paced than most games.

I should note that I never was a big PvPer in MMOGs. However this game might just show me what a PvP system done right is like

Then play Everquest 1 or Lineage2. Because every other MMO I have ever played I reached endgame in less than 5 months. The point of this game IS the end game. Guild vs Guild PvP. Thats why its called GUILDWARS and not "Get leet loot and show off"

I'm at the end with my first character. I have 2 more to go to get most of the skills unlocked. After I accomplish all 6 classes I'll just PvP.

Either way, go troll somewhere else. Don't buy the game and don't play. Already enough negative a-holes in the game as it is.

Or get more player involved... such as, Role Playing. There is no "end" to this game. There might come a time when you finish the quests, but then you still can explore areas of the map with Guildies, group up in towns and run organized events... etc. The end of the game comes for you when you've run out of creative ideas.

Not to mention that once a week or two they'll be adding new quests... so, I wouldn't get too worked up about "I'm almost done with the game!!!!".

I'll take Irony for $500, Alex!

Give me a break. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even opinions that aren't all that impressed with the amount of content.

I, too, am worried about the longevity of the game. I know we are to expect expansions in a few months. But I just started and am more than halfway through the content. If others aren't the least bit worried about that, then they aren't thinking hard enough about it.

That said, I loved WoW and I see the ex-Blizzard influence in GW. It's a great game and doesn't require we grind, grind, grind like in other MMOs. That is a good thing, imo. Now lets just hope it provides lasting fun!

Nothing ironic about that statement...

A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. A skeptik pretending to look for answers only to shoot them down is not a person posting an opinion.

some thing a lot of PVE players seem to be missing is that the game does not have to keep their undivided attention the whole time until the next chapter for the player to have gotten a very good game for the money.

if you get 3-4 months of CASUAL fun out of it at an hour or so per day i think you have really gotten your moneys worth right there

do something else or replay other favorite games til the next chapter comes along and grab that for fresh fun

you can afford to put it away for a month or three as you are not paying for the time you dont play like the others

i consider myself a CASUAL gamer

You also need to understand that a lot of the players near the 'end game' are power gamers who play huge hours every day.
I am a said power gamer. I can devote huge amount of play time to any game that I am enjoying!
Lets take other Mmorgs a moment:
Horizons: Many power gamers managed to reach max lev (50) in the first month and we finished most of the games content (As they had not infact written it all for go-live).
EQ2: There were plenty of power gamers who had finished levelling to max level in the first month of play.
WOW: Also many people managed to max level in the first month!

It is normal for a power gamer to max out a game in 1 month. Many of us power gamers get bored with a game within 1-2 months and move on. Why? Because we have devoured the contents and now look for something new to test our skills - grind - enjoyment whatever, against.

To have power gamers finish GW, when it is not a true MMO in the first month is no biggy. But with this game there is still plenty of challenge left in it and with no monthly fee, I am sure many power gamers will keep coming back to the game over and over. - That is where the true appeal of the game lies for me. The fact that I can come back in 6 months and have just as much fun as now!

I was not trolling dude I'm researching before buying. And I am glad I did because i don't feel like buying a game that needs an expansion every month to keep me interested.
Now you can think what you like, but that is all I will post here because I am not interested in this game.

Thank you all for your answers!

you have to give him credit for checking before buying rather than grabbing it and then complaining
